Softball Recap: Dawson Springs Falls to University Heights in First Game of Season

Dawson Springs kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 21-6 to the University Heights Blazers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Blazers: they've now lost four in a row.

Dawson Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alieah Cook, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Kaitlyn Brothers, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Dawson Springs Panthers take on Mayfield Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University Heights, they will challenge Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
