Baseball Game Preview: Pearland Oilers vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Pearland will face off against Summer Creek. The Oilers will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pearland is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Pearland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Summer Creek get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Oilers, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Pearland got a great performance from Grant Shepherd as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Shepherd has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nicholas Partida, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
