With a playoff win on the line, Pahranagat Valley rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Round Mountain Knights by a score of 8-4. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Evie Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Shada Spencer was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Heidi Shumway, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Pahranagat Valley's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Round Mountain, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2.
