Basketball Recap: Marion Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Marion not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since January 13th (when they won 76-31). They put the hurt on the Confluence Prep Academy Titans with a sharp 75-53 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Marion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Curry out in front who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Curry a new career-high in steals (seven). Mahki House was another key player, shooting 60% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Marion was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They are 11-5 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win (which was Marion's third in a row) raised their record to 13-10. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Confluence Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Marion has already played their next game, a 64-55 win against Paducah Tilghman on the 9th. Confluence Prep Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Gateway Legacy Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
