They breezed past the Bombers to the tune of 66-38. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Bombers are ranked 435th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

LeRoy's victory bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, their win bumped their record up to 21-12.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley couldn't quite finish off LeRoy when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 53-51. Can Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
