Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Cougars vs. Spring Lake Park Panthers

The Centennial Cougars will square off against the Spring Lake Park Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Spring Lake Park will come in with three straight victories.

Centennial came up short against Anoka on Monday, falling 3-0.

Centennial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Spring Lake Park faced off against Coon Rapids on Monday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cardinals.

While Spring Lake Park might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Coon Rapids scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18.

Spring Lake Park now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Centennial suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Spring Lake Park in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
