Soccer Game Preview: Newton-Conover vs. Burns

Newton-Conover is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over Lake Norman Charter. Given Newton-Conover's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Lake Norman Charter are ranked 202nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burns, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over East Henderson on Thursday.
