East Peoria waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Champaign Central Maroons.

The team relied heavily on Roman Moody, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. R.J. Duncheon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

East Peoria's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Champaign Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 20-12-1 record.

Coming up, East Peoria will challenge Mahomet-Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Champaign Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
