Volleyball Recap: Ellis Takes a Loss

Ellis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoxie Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21.

Leah Reed paced Ellis' offense, picking up four kills. Reed got some help from Taylor Kohl and her seven assists.

Ellis' defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Hoxie, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-15.

Ellis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoxie, they will host Syracuse on Tuesday.
