Serrano has gone 9-1 against Hesperia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Serrano Diamondbacks will challenge the Hesperia Scorpions at 3:15 p.m. Serrano has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Serrano's offense. They lost 13-0 to Oak Hills on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Diamondbacks in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Hesperia waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Knights. The Scorpions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Hesperia pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Serrano, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Serrano took their win against Hesperia when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Serrano since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
