Softball Recap: Leonard Lancers vs. Olympic Heights Lions
Leonard lost against Olympic Heights back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leonard Lancers came up short against the Olympic Heights Lions, falling 27-15. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (13), the Lancers still had to take the loss.
Shadia Duarte and Alexis Resto stepped up to the plate in a big way. Duarte went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Resto scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Arianna Sheerer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-5.
Even though they lost, Leonard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .378 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
