Volleyball Recap: NELA Christian Homeschool Comes Up Short

If NELA Christian Homeschool was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mount Olive Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flame came up short against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Friday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flame of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-5.

Emory Niswanger paced NELA Christian Homeschool's offense, picking up seven kills. Niswanger got some help from Annaleigh Clark and her 12 assists. Finally, Niswanger was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

With the defeat, NELA Christian Homeschool broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 8-8. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

As of now, neither NELA Christian Homeschool nor Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool have any future games scheduled.
