Volleyball Recap: Detroit Lakes Comes Up Short

Detroit Lakes lost against Alexandria back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Detroit Lakes wouldn't go down easily and took Alexandria into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-23, 16-25, 25-16, 19-17.

When it comes to explaining why Detroit Lakes lost, don't look at Tenley Bement. Despite the final result, she had 24 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Ella Ramsey, who had 57 assists and 11 digs.

Detroit Lakes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Alexandria, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Detroit Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against St. Cloud Tech on the 4th. As for Alexandria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Rocori on the 4th.
