Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside couldn't beat Colville on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Rams came up short against the Crimson Hawks, falling 20-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 on Saturday.

Izzy Cotner and Anna Pace stepped up to the plate in a big way. Cotner went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Pace went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addy Ingraham, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Riverside has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Colville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Crimson Hawks beat Riverside by a score of 18-1 on Wednesday.
