Baseball Game Preview: Peotone Blue Devils vs. Leo Lions

The Peotone Blue Devils will take on the Leo Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Peotone and seven for Leo.

On Thursday, Peotone came up short against Dwight and fell 10-7.

Ruben Velasco was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

De La Salle hit Leo with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost 10-1 to the Meteors.

Leo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Jones has hit this season.

Peotone's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Leo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-20.
