Softball Recap: Santa Teresa Takes a Loss

Santa Teresa lost against Hollister back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Santa Teresa fell just short of Hollister by a score of 5-3.

Santa Teresa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savanna Herbst, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Olivia Montes was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Santa Teresa's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Hollister, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Santa Teresa will venture away from home to square off against Gilroy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilroy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Santa Teresa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hollister, they will welcome Everett Alvarez at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Hollister's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
