Basketball Recap: Watts Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Welch, Watts was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 victory over the Liberty Academy Eagles. The win was some much needed relief for the Engineers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Watts' victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Liberty Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Watts will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cave Springs at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Liberty Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-33 win against Tournament Team on the 18th.
