Softball Recap: Viola Takes a Loss

Viola fell victim to Concord and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Pirates. The Longhorns have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Viola's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Concord, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

Looking ahead, Viola will welcome West Side at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to take on Midland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
