Baseball Recap: Carlsbad Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Carlsbad's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Marcos Knights on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Carlsbad got a good showing from Andrew Langer, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Langer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Carlsbad's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10. As for San Marcos, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5-1.

While Carlsbad had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
