Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Rolling Hills Prep

Rolling Hills Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on Saturday. The Rolling Hills Prep Huskies snuck past the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights with a 47-42 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Huskies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in California, while the Blue Knights are ranked fifth in Nevada).

Rolling Hills Prep's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rolling Hills Prep will square off against Geffen Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Geffen Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Rolling Hills Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they are taking a road trip to take on Cristo Rey St. Viator at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
