Basketball Recap: West Phoenix Comes Up Short

West Phoenix lost against Glenview College Prep back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The West Phoenix Eagles fell to the Glenview College Prep Mustangs 62-56. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, West Phoenix still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Brown, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 43 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 76.8% of West Phoenix's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kealin Covington, who put up four points and six boards.

Even though they lost, West Phoenix was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

West Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Glenview College Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

West Phoenix didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-61 victory against Maya on the 6th. Glenview College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
