Baseball Recap: Dr. Phillips Drops Highest Score of Season Against Evans

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dr. Phillips). They never let the Evans Trojans get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Joseph Kitchens looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jose Diaz was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Ryan Pyka, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Dr. Phillips was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evans only posted a batting average of .154.

Dr. Phillips picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Evans, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
