Basketball Recap: Kylah Hall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dutchtown over Langston Hughes

Dutchtown lost against Langston Hughes back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dutchtown Bulldogs took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Langston Hughes Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Panthers are ranked first).

Dutchtown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylah Hall, who posted ten points. Serenity Scott was another key player, putting up eight points.

Dutchtown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Langston Hughes, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dutchtown will face off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northgate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season. As for Langston Hughes, they will challenge McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Langston Hughes is facing McIntosh at the right time seeing as McIntosh is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
