Softball Recap: Trinity Prep Falls to Covington Academy in First Game of Season

Trinity Prep had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Covington Academy Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Trinity Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynzie McBride, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Peachtree Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Covington Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Skipstone Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give Skipstone Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
