Softball Recap: Shorecrest Scots vs. Edmonds-Woodway Warriors
Shorecrest had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-11 to make it six. They lost 11-1 to the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-7 two weeks ago.
Riu Hanrahan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
As for Edmonds-Woodway, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Edmonds-Woodway, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Edmonds-Woodway's side, Abby McCorvey was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Catie Ingalls, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
