Baseball Recap: Frederick Gunn Takes a Loss

Frederick Gunn fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Berkshire School on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. The Highlanders just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Deven Dodge was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Frederick Gunn saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Bailey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Frederick Gunn's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Berkshire School, their record is now 2-5.

Coming up, Frederick Gunn will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Luke's at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkshire School will be paying especially close attention to the Highlanders' matchup: after the Highlanders face off against the Storm, they'll take on Berkshire School again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
