The Northside - Pinetown Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 72-54 victory over North East Carolina Prep. Given Northside - Pinetown's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while North East Carolina Prep is ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Griffin Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Max Vansant was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and three steals.
