Basketball Recap: Delcambre's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Delcambre came into Friday's contest having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Gueydan Bears by a score of 25-17 on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 32-29 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Delcambre's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Gueydan, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Delcambre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 24-9 loss against Ascension Episcopal on the 6th. As for Gueydan, they will head out on the road to square off against Hackberry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gueydan is facing Hackberry at the right time seeing as Hackberry is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
