Soccer Game Preview: Anna vs. Sherman

The Anna Coyotes will head out on the road to challenge the Sherman Bearcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Anna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Anna's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Greenville 9-0. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Lions are ranked 653rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anna's offense was hitting Greenville from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Isabelle Lopez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sherman faced off against Walnut Grove on Friday. Sherman lost 7-1 to Walnut Grove. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Bearcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Anna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-1.
