Basketball Game Preview: Simla Cubs vs. The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks

Simla is a perfect 10-0 against The Colorado Springs School since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Simla Cubs will host The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Simla has six straight victories, The Colorado Springs School has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Simla found their leader in sophomore Tatum Kocerha, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Kocerha's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Evan Guy was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Simla smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 41 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, The Colorado Springs School played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Miami-Yoder, falling 65-21. The Kodiaks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.

Simla's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for The Colorado Springs School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
