Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Lakes Prep Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Pinecrest Lakes Prep Eagles came up short against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks and fell 3-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9, 24-26, 25-3.

Cornerstone Charter Academy found their leader in freshman Liam Dinsmore, who had ten digs and two aces. The dominant performance gave Dinsmore a new career-high in aces.

Pinecrest Lakes Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Pinecrest Lakes Prep will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 8th. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they will square off against Orlando Science at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
