Football Game Preview: Forrest Rockets vs. Community Vikings/Viqueens + How To Watch

Forrest is a perfect 8-0 against Community since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings/Viqueens at 7:00 p.m. Forrest has given up an average of 30.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Forrest ended up a good deal behind Sequatchie County and lost 54-35. While the Rockets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 20-12 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, Forrest had strong showings from Quincy Mitchell, who rushed for 166 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and Micah Morgan, who rushed for 51 yards and two scores. Mitchell is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 121 every time he's taken the field this season. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jacob Tincher, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Watertown 37-0. While losing is never fun, the Vikings/Viqueens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Purple Tigers are ranked 100th).

Forrest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Community, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Forrest against Community when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 55-14 victory. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Vikings/Viqueens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
