Softball Game Preview: Reedsburg Beavers vs. Sauk Prairie Eagles

The Reedsburg Beavers will head out to square off against the Sauk Prairie Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Reedsburg nor Sauk Prairie posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Edgewood hit Reedsburg with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Beavers fell 6-2 to the Crusaders. The defeat continues a trend for the Beavers in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Sauk Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Reedsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Sauk Prairie's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Reedsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. It's a different story for Sauk Prairie, though, as they've only averaged .219. Will they be able to contain Reedsburg's hitters?

Everything went Reedsburg's way against Sauk Prairie in their previous meeting back in April, as Reedsburg made off with a 9-0 win.
