Basketball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Takes a Loss

Jonesboro-Hodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homer Pelicans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-34 back in December of 2024.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Homer, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

While Jonesboro-Hodge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
