American Heritage shocks No. 20 University

Nation's No. 20 team gets rocked in the Florida 3A playoffs.

Standout junior running back Greg Bryant rushed for two touchdowns and returned an interception all the way for a third as American Heritage (Delray Beach, Fla.) stunned No. 20 University (Fort Lauderdale) 31-20 in the Florida Class 3A quarterfinals.

University jumped to a 7-0 lead thanks to a touchdown grab from junior receiver Jordan Cunningham.

Bryant answered with his first score, breaking a 48-yard run to tie the game at 7-7.

Following an American Heritage field goal, Bryant struck again, returning an interception for a score to stretch the lead to 17-7.



American Heritage scored once more to take a 24-7 lead into halftime.

Bryant punched in another touchdown in the third quarter and American Heritage never looked back.

With the victory, American Heritage advances to the Class 3A semifinals to take on Berkeley Prep, led by Top 100 recruit Nelson Agholor.
