Volleyball Recap: Dwyer Finds Playoff Glory Versus Royal Palm Beach

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dwyer had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 21-25, 25-18.

Dwyer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Lotz, who had ten digs and two aces. Lotz has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. Ashley Arsenault also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Dwyer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Royal Palm Beach still got an impressive performance from Stella Montanez, who had 15 digs and three assists.

The win made it two in a row for Dwyer and bumps their season record up to 15-11. As for Royal Palm Beach, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-10.

Dwyer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Martin County on the 16th. Royal Palm Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
