Foard had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 46-42 to the South Iredell Vikings on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Foard still got an impressive performance from Jessica Bailey, who shot 59% from the field en route to 27 points along with eight boards and six steals. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Destiny Bradford was a one-woman wrecking crew For South Iredell. as she almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alaya Jones- McCombs, who posted four points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Foard has already played their next game, a 50-27 victory against St. Stephens on the 24th. As for South Iredell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-27 loss against Surry Central on the 21st.
