Basketball Recap: Alfred-Almond Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alfred-Almond can now relate to. They took a blow against the Arkport Central/Canaseraga Wolves on Tuesday, falling 77-27. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 losses in a row.

Arkport Central/Canaseraga was led to victory by Caden Carey and Alex Vilkhu. Carey posted 25 points and three steals, while Vilkhu almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Carey's big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Devin Moran was another key player, putting up seven points.

Alfred-Almond's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Arkport Central/Canaseraga, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
