Joliet West came tearing into Thursday's matchup with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Plainfield South Cougars by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Joliet West was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10.

Lexie Grevengoed paced Joliet West's offense, picking up five kills. Grevengoed got some help from Julia Adams and her ten assists. Grevengoed was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Joliet West's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Plainfield South, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
