Volleyball Recap: Sophia Lee and Brielle Amarel Secure Win for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy

After losing to Arizona Lutheran Academy the last time they met, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans walked away with a 3-1 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Leading Scottsdale Preparatory Academy to victory were Brielle Amarel and Sophia Lee. Amarel had ten digs and two aces, while Lee had ten digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Lee a new career-high in assists (three).

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will host Camp Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they will take on Santa Cruz Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Coyotes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
