Baseball Game Preview: Madison West Regents vs. Waunakee Warriors

The Madison West Regents will take on the Waunakee Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Madison West has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 24.

On Thursday, Madison West came up short against Sun Prairie West and fell 6-1. That's two games in a row now that the Regents have lost by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, Waunakee was able to grind out a solid win over Oregon on Friday, taking the game 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Waunakee's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Madison West, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Madison West might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Waunakee in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Regents avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
