Softball Recap: Glenn Takes a Loss

Glenn fell victim to Davie and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 2-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on April 1st.

Addyson Irving spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Glenn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamry Lamonte, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Glenn's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Davie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

As of now, neither Glenn nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
