Softball Recap: University Christian's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

University Christian and North Florida Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but University Christian had to settle for second. They fell 11-8 to the Eagles. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Christians, who until this match were averaging 2.21 runs allowed.

Mila Lackowski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Carlee Conners was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

University Christian moved to 19-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for North Florida Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

University Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Florida Christian, they will square off against Evangelical Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
