Volleyball Recap: Sparta Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sparta had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fall Creek Crickets. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crickets, too.

Sparta never let Fall Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Izzy Mickelson paced Sparta's offense, picking up eight kills. Mickelson got some help from Kaylie Church and her 14 assists. Mickelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Sparta's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fall Creek, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Sparta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Brookwood on the 13th. As for Fall Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Bloomer on the 16th.
