Baseball Recap: Foley Falcons vs. Holdingford Huskers
Foley had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Holdingford Huskers on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Noah Gapinski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Gapinski wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gavyn Wirth, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Jonny Engmark also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Foley's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Holdingford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-6.
As of now, neither Foley nor the Huskers have any future games scheduled.
