Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo lost against Edinburg North back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears fell 40-29 to the Edinburg North Cougars. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edinburg North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josselyn Quintanilla, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points and eight boards. Quintanilla has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelley Molina, who posted nine points and six steals.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Edinburg North, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-18.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo has already played their next game (against La Joya), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Edinburg North has already played their next matchup, a 56-54 defeat against Edinburg on the 17th.
