It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort Myers had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ida Baker Bulldogs by a score of  11-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  16-0  last Tuesday.
 Sage Rodmyre was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Amira Peterson, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fort Myers  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 16-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Fort Myers is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.6 runs. As for Ida Baker, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season.
 Fort Myers will face off against North Fort Myers at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Red Knights will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight. Ida Baker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
