Softball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Dongola Demons, falling 12-0. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Meridian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayla Meeks, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dongola, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will venture away from home to face off against Scott County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dongola, they will face off against Elverado at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
