Soccer Recap: Pinellas Park Find Success

Pinellas Park's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Patriots were the better team in the second half.

Jampier Velasco and Omar Saucedo scored both of Pinellas Park's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Pinellas Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matches. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinellas Park will take on Seminole at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will host Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearwater will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Clearwater Central Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
