Baseball Recap: Westlake Demons vs. Lakewood Rangers
Westlake posted their closest win since May 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lakewood Rangers 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Demons: when they faced off against the Rangers on Monday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.
Cole Jung made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
